Overview
The Enphase IQ Battery 5P is an all-in-one AC-coupled energy storage system that brings the same distributed microinverter philosophy that made Enphase famous to the battery world. Each IQ Battery 5P unit contains six embedded IQ8D-BAT grid-forming microinverters, delivering 3.84 kW of continuous power and 5.0 kWh of usable energy in a compact, wall-mountable package.
The modular design is what truly sets the Enphase system apart. You can start with a single 5 kWh unit and add more batteries as your energy needs grow, with no solar-to-battery sizing restrictions. Need 10 kWh? Add two. Need 20 kWh? Add four. The system scales linearly in both capacity and power, giving you complete flexibility.

LFP Battery Chemistry: Cobalt-free lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells provide superior thermal stability and safety, with reduced risk of thermal runaway compared to NMC batteries. Evaluated to UL 9540A for large-scale fire testing.
15-Year Warranty: Industry-leading warranty covers more than 60% capacity retention for 15 years or 6,000 cycles, whichever comes first.
Power Start Technology: Can handle motor startup surges up to 48 A LRA, capable of starting essential appliances during a power outage.
Enphase App: Monitor your solar production, battery status, and home energy consumption in real time. Storm Guard automatically charges your battery when severe weather is forecast.
