Overview
The SolarEdge Energy Bank is a DC-coupled home battery designed specifically for integration with SolarEdge Energy Hub inverters. By keeping energy in DC form from solar panels through battery storage and back to the home, the Energy Bank avoids the triple-conversion penalty that AC-coupled systems face, achieving peak round-trip efficiency above 94.5%.
With 9.7 kWh of usable energy at 100% depth of discharge and 5 kW of continuous output power, the Energy Bank provides reliable backup power for essential loads. The system communicates wirelessly with the SolarEdge Energy Hub inverter, reducing installation complexity and eliminating potential wiring faults.

DC-Coupled Efficiency: By avoiding the AC-DC-AC conversion penalty, the Energy Bank captures up to 10 extra days of free solar energy per year compared to AC-coupled alternatives. Peak round-trip efficiency exceeds 94.5%.
Wireless Communication: The Energy Bank connects to the SolarEdge Energy Hub inverter via wireless communication, reducing installation wiring, labor costs, and risk of installation faults.

Plug-and-Play Installation: Automatic SetApp-based configuration using predefined profiles makes commissioning fast and straightforward for installers.
Scalable: Connect up to 3 Energy Bank batteries per inverter for up to 29.1 kWh of storage. For larger systems, multiple inverters can be used.
Ultra-Quiet Operation: At less than 25 dBA, the Energy Bank is one of the quietest home batteries available, making it suitable for installation near living spaces.
Weather Guard: Automatically charges your battery to full capacity when severe weather is forecast, ensuring maximum backup energy when you need it most.
